We highly recommend getting travel and health insurance to help protect you on your trip. It is not required but it helps bring piece of mind knowing that you are protected.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance helps with situations in which you might encounter on your trip such as accidents, illness, flight cancelations, theft, missing luggage, emergency evacuations or you have to cancel your trip completely.  The amount of coverage varies on the package you choose. Research each plan accordingly and choose the coverage that best meets your needs. One of the Navajo Traveling Sisters was traveling to Portland when the airline lost her luggage. They had no time frame as to when the luggage would be returned but thankfully she had travel insurance. She was able to purchase travel necessities and clothing to help cover what was lost.

Travel health insurance will help with the reimbursement of unexpected medical costs, unexpected dental costs, emergency travel insurance and emergency evacuation.

Travelers might find themselves in situations that might have them visiting the emergency room. Travel insurance helps to cover costs such as deductibles or overnight stays. Please research the insurance policy’s, most often you will be paying for upfront costs but will be reimbursed upon returning. In addition, most travel insurance helps to cover the cost of emergency dental care.
